Artist's Description

I remember experiencing the excitement of the parachute jump ride, and the slow drop down. Originally it was built for the 1939 New York World's Fair at Flushing Meadow Park. And later was brought to Coney Island by the Tilyou owner's of "Steeple Chase Park". The ride stopped operating around 1968. It towers 262' tall, and is a Brooklyn landmark, and was placed on the US National Registry of Historic Places in 1980. Do you remember going on this ride?
